The Adult Education Research Conference (AERC) is an annual North American conference that provides a forum for adult education researchers to share their experiences and the results of their studies with students, other researchers, and practitioners from around the world.
In a sense, the AERC is also a retreat for members of the adult education community; an informal, collegial gathering where all are encouraged to enter into lively debate over the future direction of research in adult education.
The 58th Annual Adult Education Research Conference will be hosted by The University of Oklahoma University Outreach, Thurman J. White Forum and Conference Services, June 9-11, 2017.
OU Outreach includes the College of Continuing Education and the College of Liberal Studies. Internationally recognized for its pioneering efforts in continuing education, OU Outreach extends the resources of the University of Oklahoma on campus, online, and at locations around the world. OU Outreach has been an integral part of the university since its beginnings. With a $100 million annual budget, OU Outreach extends the educational resources of the university through more than 30 different program formats, including grant and contract activities. Annually, OU Outreach offers some 4,000 courses and activities to more than 200,000 nontraditional learners at more than 80 sites worldwide.
The Thurman J. White Forum Building is located on the University of Oklahoma’s Norman campus. The campus is located 25 miles from the Will Rogers World Airport (OKC) in Oklahoma City, OK.
